The 2016 20/20 Print Exchange has exchanged! A group of our members have taken part, exchanging prints with print studios and artists nationally and internationally. Cumbria Printmakers exchanged with Mandrake Artists Studios in Victoria, Australia, some distance in geography and climate, but equally as committed to printmaking  in all its forms! Our prints are now off touring the country in exhibitions.20

We have been selling some of our prints that came directly to the studio in aid of the children of Aleppo, this charity sale is all individual hand pulled prints by practicing artists, all 20cm x 20cm and at £10 each a bargain and giving to a good cause! The photo here is from Carlisle Art Fair… if you see one you fancy let us know and we will send it to you!

Our first group exhibition of 2107!

Opening in April at the lovely Gallery Artemis in Cockermouth.

In addition to C-Art in September 2016 we have upcoming opportunities (more to follow…) at the Great Print Exhibition at Rheged in November and an exhibition opening at Theatre by the Lake in Keswick, also November through to January.CHT239535 The Emperor and the Nightingale, illustration for 'The Nightingale' from Fairy Tales by Hans Christian Andersen (1805-75) published in London, before 1914 (engraving) (b/w photo) by Clarke, Harry (1889-1931); Private Collection; Archives Charmet; Irish, out of copyright

At a recent meeting we decided it would be an artistic adventure to use the play being shown at the  theatre as stimulus for the exhibition… so look out for it as it should be quite a show….
