“Printfest was set up in 2001 by printmakers Judy Evans and Ronkey Bullard and takes place over the early May Bank Holiday weekend. It is based in the friendly market town of Ulverston, Cumbria, on the edge of the Lake District, where the Coronation Hall which provides a beautiful and relaxed setting for the display of artwork from throughout the UK and further afield.
The event has grown significantly in recent years, with a steady increase in visitor numbers and in the value of artwork sold. It’s also a rare opportunity for the best of the UK’s printmakers to gather under one roof, share practice and learn from each other.
The Printfest weekend takes place on the Early May Bank Holiday weekend in Ulverston along with an art trail, workshops and demonstrations. The weekend is at the centre of its work, although activities are now spread throughout the year, including additional workshops and exhibitions.”
